We’re kicking off the year by challenging all students, faculty, and staff in our laboratory research community to take a fresh, curious look at the everyday hazards that shape laboratory work. Show us how YOU rethink the basics: What did you notice? What changed your perspective? How does recognizing real, tangible hazards shift the safety culture around you?
Submit your idea in any creative format—narrative, graphic, photos, or video. Images are encouraged but not required.
Prizes:
- 1st place: $100 + You and your supervisor are invited to the end‑of‑year Lab Safety Culture Recognition Dinner, where you’ll be invited to speak about your accomplishment.
- 2nd place: $50 + dinner invitation for you and your supervisor.
- 3rd place: $25 + dinner invitation for you and your supervisor.
(Your department head will also be invited to celebrate your win!)
