Urgent Services

What are Urgent Services

EHS is not an emergency service provider. EHS provides 24/7 assistance and support to emergency service providers and can help with several non-emergency needs.

Urgent services are characterized as immediate (same-day) support for an activity that–if not done–can develop into

  • a risk to people, property, or the environment
  • non-compliance with regulations

Examples can include

  • Assistance with a minor hazardous material spill (controlled; not an immediate risk to life safety, materials are fully known/characterized)
  • Radioactive material spill
  • Radioactive material personal contamination

Non-Urgent Service Requestors must use the standard Service Request Process
