Compressed Gas Safety

Prerequisite: General Lab Safety

Compressed gas systems and cryogenic liquids present hazards related to the contents, pressurized containment and delivery systems, installation, use, and storage.

Proper techniques minimize inherent risks.

All campus members who work with compressed gases or work in areas that use compressed gas systems benefit from hazard awareness and risk minimization practices.

This course focuses on the laboratory workspace environment.

Any laboratory persons who work with or around compressed gas systems and have completed the general lab safety course.
