Do you know how to use a portable fire extinguisher or how to save someone from choking?
This year EHS will participate in the UT Employee Benefits Fair Thursday, September 25, 2019 in Thompson Boling Arena.
Representatives from several EHS groups will be on hand to demonstrate the new Fire Simulator and RACE Station. This system can be used to train your employees on how to alert others, get help, and use a fire extinguisher safely. You can put out a simulated fire safely and quickly. The system times you, so see if you can compete for for the best score.
Also, come meet Choking Charlie. Not your ordinary life saving mannequin, Charlie simulates a Vol who might have forgotten to chew up their Smokey Dog. You can “save” Charlie’s life by using the Heimlich Maneuver.
