What are Urgent Services
EHS is not an emergency service provider. EHS provides 24/7 assistance and support to emergency service providers and can help with several non-emergency needs.
Urgent services are characterized as immediate (same-day) support for an activity that–if not done–can develop into
- a risk to people, property, or the environment
- non-compliance with regulations
Examples can include
- Assistance with a minor hazardous material spill (controlled; not an immediate risk to life safety, materials are fully known/characterized)
- Radioactive material spill
- Radioactive material personal contamination
Non-Urgent Service Requestors must use the standard Service Request Process
