Course Description

Prerequisite: General Lab Safety
  • Compressed gas systems and cryogenic liquids present hazards related to the contents, pressurized containment and delivery systems, installation, use, and storage. Proper techniques minimize inherent risks.
  • All campus members who work with compressed gases or work in areas that use compressed gas systems benefit from hazard awareness and risk minimization practices.
  • This course focuses on the laboratory workspace environment.

Audience

Any laboratory persons who work with or around compressed gas systems and have completed the general lab safety course.

  • This course replaces the retired EHS module Compressed Gas Cylinders
  • Learning Credit 30 minutes
  • Certificate valid x 1 year
