The Biosafety Principles & Practices course introduces guidelines and best practices for safely handling biohazardous materials.
The RAMP framework guides lab users through the process of:

  • Recognizing biological hazards
  • Evaluating associated risks
  • Selecting effective mitigation strategies to reduce the risk of biohazard exposure, including proper handling, storage, and disposal
  • Preparing for, responding to, and reporting biohazard emergencies

Audience

  • Campus members who work with biological and biohazardous materials.
