This training module covers radiation hazard information, exposure monitoring, safe use practices, instrumentation, and basic procedures for radiation workers who use open sources of radioactive material for research.

- Training is required before working with open sources of radioactive material for research, including x-ray machines at the CVM.
- Learning Credit: 3 hours

- Training is required to continue working with open sources of radioactive material for research, including x-ray machines at the CVM.
- Learning Credit: 1 hour
- Delivery Platform: Canvas (Academic)
- Certificate: This course does not provide a completion certificate. Completion is tracked by Radiation Safety.
- Enrollment: Assigned annually
- Annual Notification: Radiation Safety emails Open Source users (radiation workers) who completed Open-Source training (initial or annual refresher) during the previous calendar year.
